Postdoctoral Scholar

Basak joined the Kang Miller Labs after obtaining her PhD from Columbia University in 2023, where she studied animal cognition and decision-making in the laboratory of Dr. Peter Balsam. In the Kang Miller Labs, her research is focused on the circuit-level investigation of the cognitive and behavioral deficits observed in Alzheimer’s disease, utilizing a combination of calcium imaging and computational modeling tools. Outside of the lab, she enjoys cooking, staying active, and exploring the city.
